For use as a gargle and mouth wash, steep in a teaspoonful of myrrh and a teaspoon of boric acid in a pint of boiling water. Let stand for one half hour, pour off the clear liquid and use.

You can also cure your halitosis by taking it internally. Take a small teaspoon of powdered myrrh and one of golden seal (we’ll talk about this herb next) to a pint of boiling water. Dangers and How to Prepare Herbs

The side effects of herbs in general are minimal as long as you take the recommended dosages and give your self breaks for certain herbs; golden seal is one of these herbs, so make sure to get some breaks with it. Golden seal also shouldn’t be taken by pregnant women.

If you are giving herbs to children, weak or debilitated people, or the elderly give 1/3rd to 2/3rd of the recommended dosage.

There are many ways to take herbs and I’ve made a complete “how to guide” explaining how to properly prepare herbs, recommended dosages and dangers.

Herbal medicine, out dates so called modern medicine by thousands of years. In my opinion, far better and safer than chemically produced drugs.
